Le Répertoire Bibliographique Universel

The Universal Bibliographic Repertory, often abbridged as RBU, is the main work of the International Institute of Bibliography.
Since its creation in 1895, over 18 million index cards were written or typed and classified according to the Universal Decimal Classification and stored in the filing cabinets designed by Paul Otlet and Henri La Fontaine.
Intergal element of the scenography of the present-day Mundaneum, part of the Universal Bibliographic Repertory lines the walls of the Art Deco building now housing the institution in Mons.
