On This exhibition gathers 300 documents (posters, photographs, moving images...), among which a lot of rare originals. They highlight the action of those who dared to try peace and defend what is often regarded as an idle fancy. As Belgium takes part in military operations abroad, this exhibition is a topical one. It underlines the permanence of the issues that have been discussed by peace movements since the 19th century. It also questions the very notion of peace and aims to bring about critical thinking about how it is regularly used and interpreted.
