As part of 2018, the European Year of Cultural Heritage and Armistice Commemorations, the Mundaneum and the Peace Palace (The Hague) highlight "Peace Architects" through an unprecedented exhibition.

Peace, a work in progress

Peace is not a natural state. It is a long and laborious process of construction. Throughout Europe, over the decades, heritage sites tell the story of men and women who have worked to build peace and thus, have helped make the European Union what it is today. hui: A pacified area for the past seven decades, a Nobel Peace Prize institution (2012), a century after Henri La Fontaine, founder of the Mundaneum.

From November 9, 2018, we will tell you the story of two peace laboratories in the heart of Europe: the Peace Palace in The Hague, the Netherlands, by international law and cooperation. The Mundaneum by culture and shared knowledge.

These two laboratories are sites "European Heritage Label": visitors find a little of the European DNA through its culture, its identity, its values. With the support of the Mons 2025 Foundation, the Henri La Fontaine Foundation, Wallonia, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and the Parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
