CoGame : learning history through video games!

A few weeks ago, the 5th year in Infographics at the artistic school Saint-Luc La Biche in Mons participated in the CoGame project. This project aims to discover heritage through video game creation, and brings together partners from Belgium, Spain, Hungary, Italy and Austria.

Two groups of pupils aged 16 to 22 years old have spent a week each getting to know the Mundaneum and its unusual history, but most of all explored all the facets of the creation of a video game: research, screenplay, characters, design, development... and of course, testing the games they created! This project proved to be a very rewarding exchange between the Mundaneum team and the youngsters, encouraging collaborative creativity and reflection on the values embodied by the local heritage.

The games will be broadcast free of charge on the project website www.cogame.eu. The participating students will be invited to a roundtable organized at the Mundaneum this autumn to share this experience with professionals from the educational and gaming sectors.

Project CoGame is financed by the European initiative Erasmus+.
